Spice Jet

SpiceJet is an Indian low-cost airline headquartered in Gurgaon, India. It is India's fourth largest airline by number of passengers carried, SpiceJet India began operations as a low cost domestic carrier and its first flight was from Delhi to Mumbai via Ahmedabad. Building upon its promotional offer of abysmally low fares in the beginning, Spice Jet Airways set out on the market capturing drive and by 2008, it emerged as the second largest low cost carrier in the country in terms of market share. In 2007, Skytrax rated it as the best low cost airline in South and Central Asia. Spice Jet Airlines is famed for its operational efficiencies and marketing acumen aimed at attracting and retaining budget travelers with its highly successful advertisement campaigns. Its logo "Flying for everyone" sums up its corporate philosophy.

Fleet
A total fleet strength of 52, with 1 Airbus A319-112, 2 Boeing 737-700, 20 Boeing 737-800, 4 Boeing 737-900 ER & 15 Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 part of its existent flight. A strong order of 42 more Boeing 737 Max 8 due for delivery, Indigo’s fleet growing in number is a sign of expansion plans and Spice Jet also in talks with both Boeing and Airbus for a possible order of more than 100 single aisle aircraft, either Airbus A320neo or the familiar Boeing 737MAX. The order of more than 150 planes was confirmed by the Managing Director, Ajay Singh in a conference in Dubai.

Network
SpiceJet operates over 290 flights daily to 34 Indian and 9 international destinations. The airline flies Boeing 737-800 and −900ERs and Bombardier Dash 8 Q400s. After completing 5 years of flying, SpiceJet was allowed to commence international flights by the Airports Authority of India on 7 September 2010.

Onboard Services
Being a low cost carrier, spice jet doesnot focus on Luxury and the amenities onboard are very limited but not compromising on the basic essentials like meals, SpiceJet sells hot meals/snacks/refreshments and beverages on selected flights. Payment for the same will be accepted in INR only. Keeping Budget in mind the passengers seating is also not compromised and designed for a comfortable journey with ample leg space.
